V9JobScheduling

The Schedule Jobs function allows you to set the jobs created in the Job Maintenance table to automatically run unattended.

The Schedules window appears and lists each Job that is scheduled to run at some future point.

To Add or Edit a Job in the scheduler, Click the Add or Edit button to display the schedule window.

Code

Enter any unique 5 character code that will help you identify this Job in the schedule.

Job Code

You can select any pre-defined job (created in job maintenance) by typing its code, or by picking from the <F2> list.

Desc

Type any description that describes the purpose of this particular job.

Frequency

Choose how often the job is to run from Weekly, Daily, and Monthly. You will notice the options at the bottom of the screen change. For example selecting weekly allows you to pick certain days of the week whereas monthly allows you to pick certain months.

Start Date

Select the date from which the scheduler will start running the job.

Start Time

Select the time of day at which the job will be run.

Frequency Details

If you have selected the job to run on a weekly basis you can select which days of the week the job will run by checking the appropriate tick boxes.

If you have selected daily, you will be able to choose whether the job runs on every day or only weekdays.

Selecting Monthly will allow you to run the job only on certain months.

To schedule a job to run at 18:00 on Monday to Thursday, but at 17:00 on Fridays you can schedule the job twice. Set the frequency to Weekly and tick Mon to Thurs, set the time as 18:00. Now schedule another weekly job but only tick Friday and set the time to 17:00.

You can Delete existing Jobs in the schedule by using the Delete button.
